Being an alumni and fan of Southern University has inspired me to introduce a cool and refreshing drink to sip on at work, school, or play! Did I mention that it's all natural? If you love the sweet taste of pineapple, orange, and raspberry in the spring and summer, you'll be sure to enjoy this one!
Ingredients
1 cup boiling water
1 box Berry Blue Jello (3.4 oz. size)
1 cup ginger ale (Sparkling water is also an option)
Juice from 1/2 of a fresh lemon
Additional ginger ale or lemonade to add to drink when serving
2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
1 cup pineapple sherbet
1 cup orange juice
12 ounce can ginger ale (Sparkling water is also an option)
Fresh fruit for garnish, optional
Directions
In an 8×11 or similar sized baking dish combine the boiling water and Berry Blue Jello until the Jello is dissolved.
Stir in ginger ale and lemon juice and freeze for 4 hours or more until frozen solid.
Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving.
Fill half of your glass of the blue slush mixture. If the slush is too thick, add a little bit of ginger ale until the consistency is right.
Add frozen pineapple chunks, pineapple sorbet, orange juice, ginger ale to a blender and blend until smooth. If the slush is too thick to blend, add a little bit of orange juice until the consistency is right.
Top off the blue slush mixture with the pineapple orange slush consistency.
Garnish with fresh fruit.
